About Me

Tania is a Professor of Nursing at the Leicester School of Nursing and Midwifery, at De Montfort University. She has an extensive clinical background in mental health nursing. During her time working in academia she has been involved in a number of multi professional motivational interviewing educational innovation and research projects,  all of which revolve around a number of  themes such as promoting mental health, wellbeing, resilience and collaborative care planning. Tania's more specific motivational interviewing interests  are in school mental health whereby she has recently finished a secondment  supporting the roll out of a school mental health programme in Leicestershire UK and advocated for motivational interviewing in schools.
