I became a member of MINT after attending a wonderful TNT in Melbourne in August 2015. I have specialised in behaviour support for people with intellectual disabilities, commencing this type of work in 1999. Training has been a major part of my work, building capacity in transdisiplinary teams in regards to person-centred communication and behaviour support.
I founded Ability Consultants in 2016, a small team of therapists providing Behaviour Support and training for people affected by disability (including organisations, professionals and individual clients).
I began training disability professionals in Motivational Interviewing in 2010 when establishing new services for people with a disability exiting correctional facilities. I have since trained hundreds of professionals in introductory and advanced MI workshops and coaching sessions. I have provided tailored MI training for professionals in Disability, Dementia Care, Mental Health, Medicine, Vocational Rehabilitation and Corrections.
