Freedom Ortiz is leg. psychologist, play. psychotherapist and supervisor with KBT specialization, education consultant, lecturer and author. Trainers in Motivational Conversation and a member of the network MINT (Motivational Interviewing Network of TRainer). She is active in her education company, is a private practicing psychotherapist and supervisor and also has the task of developing courses and writing handbooks within MI (motivational talk) adapted to different professional groups in different parts of Sweden. She is often hired as a lecturer on courses and conferences focusing on motivation, resistance and change and cognitive behavioral therapy. She is also on several expert panels, at The inside in Dagens Nyheter, association Lone mothers and the Psychological Association's website Psychology guide.

She is the author of many books on motivational conversation, including: When change is difficult. Dealing with resistance with motivational conversations, Nature & Culture, 2009 and MI in work with violence in close relationships, Gothia Continuing Education, 2013.
